Fork in the Piste — Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 29, 2026

Fork in the Piste helps a ski group agree where to meet: it shortlists spots everyone can reach, collects votes, and routes the group there. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and the control you have over it.

What we collect

What we never do

Where your data lives

Account and group data is stored on our hosted database (Neon PostgreSQL) and served by our backend so it can sync between group members' phones. Password-reset emails are sent through Resend, our email provider. Some preferences stay only on your device.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app: Group tab → Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your sign-in, the groups you started, your votes, and your resort requests — on your phone and on our servers. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

Children

The app is rated for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information beyond what is described above.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
